PROJECT HIRAETH BEARS FRUIT

Wednesday 3rd September 2025 saw a number of CMDC choristers together with MD Elaine Robins, travel to Siddington Village Hall near Cirencester. Project HIRAETH, the initiative created by Choir Secretary Guy Edwards to establish a new rehearsal group in England, held its’ first ever practice.
 
An enjoyable and successful evening saw 8 prospective members taking up the challenge with the promise of a further 7 over the next two meetings.
 
Elaine (MD) and existing choristers were impressed by the quality of the voices and with the full resonant sound they created. An added bonus emerged when two of the prospective new members proved to be Welsh speakers, a significant asset for the embryonic group.
