A TRULY CAPITAL CONCERT
Saturday 27th April saw an invasion of Knightsbridge by 524 men of 23 choirs in a triumphant return to the Royal Albert Hall for The Welsh Association of Male Choirs.
The hugely enthusiastic and appreciative audience were treated to a feast of superb male choir singing under the inspired hand of Dr Alwyn Humphreys, supported so ably by Caradog Williams (Piano) and Huw Tregelles Williams (Organ).
The event was further enhanced by the mellifluous voices of the ladies of Parti Llwchwr, and immaculate solo performances from Steffan Morris (Cello) and Osian Wyn Bowen (Tenor). The compere was the ever erudite and knowledgeable Garry Owen.
The consensus that seems to have emerged is that for many this was ‘the best one ever’, on the day when Knightsbridge became the temporary capital of Wales.
