“LIFE AFFIRMING”

Described by Beverly Humphries the elegant and erudite compere as ‘A LIFE AFFIRMING EVENT’, the Welsh Association of Male Choirs concert held on 24th June in St David’s Hall Cardiff was a truly thrilling and memorable occasion. 350 choristers from 14 choirs under the inspirational baton of Dr Alwyn Humphries and before a large, enthusiastic audience culminated in a well deserved standing ovation.

The evening was enhanced by first class contributions from Eirlys Myfanwy Davies (Mezzo Soprano) and Osian Davies (Tenor). Caradog Williams (Piano) and Huw Tregelles Williams (Organ) providing impeccable support from their respective keyboards.

The event, originally scheduled pre-pandemic was held in aid of Prostate Cymru.

CMDC were proud to be involved in this wonderful event, affirming that male voice singing has survived the ravages of Covid and creates hope for the future of our cherished male choir traditions.
