A SPECIAL EVENING IN ST. TEILO’S

A glorious evening of music came to a climax with a spontaneous standing ovation from the large audience at the conclusion of a moving performance of ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ by the choir and our fabulous Guest Soprano, Jessica Robinson.
 
Mae'r côr, for the first time, under the inspiring leadership of D. Huw Rees our Musical Director Designate delivered an eclectic mixture of music from Cuccini’s ‘Ave Maria’ to the power and passion of Arwel Hughes’ ‘Sanctus’ and the mysteries of ‘Phantom of the Opera’ and D. Huw Rees arrangement of ‘This is the Moment’.
 
We were supported at the piano by the ever brilliant Sian Gwawr Davies who also joined Huw Rees to deliver two entertaining duets at the piano. She was further called upon to accompany the exquisite singing of the peerless Jessica Robinson.
 
The concert, compered by our own Alun Davies, was in support of the Golden Grove Trust and sponsored by Castell Howell. Concert organisers were Geoff Thomas, Phil Howells and Huw Davies.
 
The whole event graced by the presence of our Ladies Support Group in their tradition Welsh costume.
