£7000 for SAMARITANS

The Choir’s latest concert saw a first visit to Shrewsbury. The event on 27th January, in aid of Shrewsbury Samaritans, was held in the splendid Theatre Severn. The performance to an enthusiastic sell out audience in the 650 seat venue was of the usual high standard and was further enhanced by the contributions from Rhodri Prys-Jones (tenor) and four pupils of Shrewsbury School; Phoebe Morris, Ben Lloyd, Jessie Inglis-Jones and Sophie Price. The evening was compered by Barri Hurford (CMDC) and raised the magnificent sum of £7000 for the work of the local Samaritans.
We look forward to a return visit in the future.
